Divock Origi was excluded as manager Jurgen Klopp announced Liverpool traveling squad for the UEFA Champions League first leg clash against Napoli.
Napoli host the European champions on Tuesday in San Paolo.
Origi twisting his ankle in the 3-1 victory over Newcastle on Saturday and was withdrawn before half-time against the Magpies.
Teenager Rhian Brewster has been selected in Origi’s place in the squad as Liverpool begin the defence of their European crown against a side that have finished Serie A runners-up in three of the last four seasons.
