CAF CL: Coach Adam says Al Hilal will finish the job in Omdurman

Al Hilal coach Salah Mohamed Adam is excited with the barren draw it played against Enyimba in Aba, and has vowed to complete the job in the return leg.

Enyimba wasted many chances and could not break the defense of a 10-man Hilal in the first leg of Second Preliminary Round on Sunday.

The reverse fixture is scheduled for a fortnight, and coach Adam believes his plans are working out fine.

“It’s a very exciting match. Enyimba is a very big team in Africa. We have our respect for them,” an excited Adam told Complete Sports.

“We had our desire and objectives coming into the game. All of you know the situation in our country, Sudan.

“And for this reason, our preparation for this competition was not as usual. We didn’t have a good preseason.

“We lost about 15 of our players to their national teams and it proved very difficult for us playing against Enyimba here in Aba.

“We tried to do our best tactically to stop the attackers of Enyimba and we are happy the way the game went.

“We are now going to finish the work in our country in the return leg match.”

Al Hilal players felt at home on the pitch of the Aba Stadium. And coach Adam revealed the synthetic turf equally aided their game plan.

“The pitch here (Aba) helped us very, very much to put up this performance,” Adam added.

“The pitch is very, very good and it helped us very well.”
