Ghana international Caleb Ekuban is set to be on the sidelines for two months after he endured a foot injury during training with Trabzonspor.
Ekuban underwent a successful operation to repair his foot in Italy on Monday, September 17 and the club's official website confirmed the news.
However, the injury rules him out of Trabzonspor's Europa League opener and the Black Stars' 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana are set to play against South Africa (Bafana Bafana) on November 11 in Group C's first match.
Ekuban has made three appearances for the Turkish outfit and has scored one goal which was against Fenerbahce.
