Arsenal manager Unai Emery has hailed the performance of his young players after recording a resounding 3-0 win away to Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night in a Europa League match.
The Gunners scored two late goals through Emerick Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka, to add to Joe Willock's opener in the first half, recording a comfortable win against last season's semifinalists.
It was, however, the performance of some of his young guns that caught the attention of many, with Saka, in particular, shining with two assists and a goal.
Speaking after the match, the Spaniard said the young turks deserved the win, further indicating they took the chance given to them.
"Their performance tonight was good and they deserve it," he said.
"Maybe with his (Saka's) goal, with his performance, but also in the match taking confidence, finishing really strongly physically," he added.
"And also with Emile, after his injury tonight he played for the first time this season and he worked well. Willock also, progressively he was feeling better and with a good performance,"
The youngsters were part of the seven changes that Emery made to the side that drew 2-2 away to Watford last weekend, with Aubameyang and David Luiz among the few who retained their spots.
They will now shift their attention to the English Premier League this weekend when they host Aston Villa on Sunday.
