Harambee Starlets lose to U15 Juniors

The Kenya U15 national team handed Harambee Starlets a 3-2 defeat in a build-up friendly clash staged at Camp Toyoyo on Thursday 26th.

Starlets entered day four of training at Toyoyo as the side continues to prepare for the Olympic Qualifier against Ghana, and in their build-up match, David Ouma's stars faced Kenya National U15 Boys in match build-up. Starlets took the lead in the 18th minute through captain Dorcas Shikobe before Center of Excellence striker Joseph Munala leveled the scores nine minutes later.

The second half was a tight game but the Center of Excellence forward, Andrew Waliala, scored a brace at the 70th and 80th minute.

Harambee Starlets Coach, David Ouma, exuded confidence in his team after this friendly match.

“I highly believe my team is most capable to face Ghana, we only need to improve the players’ aggression in the coming week,” he said.

Starlets are scheduled to depart to Ghana on October 2 with the first leg set to be played on October 4th. The second leg will be played on October 8th at the MISC Kasarani.
