Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals why Axel Tuanzebe played at left back against Arsenal

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he played Axel Tuanzebe at left-back against Arsenal to nullify the threat of Nicolas Pepe.

Tuanzebe is a natural center back but has played as a right-back on a number of occasions and was deployed as a left-back in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal after Aaron Wan-Bissaka pulled out of the game through illness. Luke Shaw failed to recover while Diogo Dalot is still injured and Ashley Young filled in at right-back.

Despite his miss pass that led to Arsenal's equalizer, Solskjaer was full of praise for Tuanzebe and revealed why he played at left-back, "That showed by him playing well against Pepe. I think Pepe's a threat and Axel did really well. We've had a few injuries and illnesses and that was a decision when Aaron wasn't fit to play."

Interestingly Tuanzebe made his full United debut at right-back away at Arsenal in May 2017.
