Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan insists that Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp are similar but the Liverpool boss is a bit more animated.
Gundogan was a vital cog in Jurgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund that won back to back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012 and got to the finals of the Champions League a year later. The German midfielder joined City back in 2016 with the club engaged in a battle for the title against Liverpool in recent seasons.
In an interview with SZ, Gundogan revealed the key difference between Guardiola and Klopp, "And then there are the two coaches who stand for the two different styles that are currently on the market. They live full intensity, are incredibly demanding; you can not switch off for a second in training.
"Otherwise, there’s a b********g. You may be a little bit more scared of Klopp because he’s so big and loud and shows so many teeth."
