After being in the cold for some time, striker Jesse Were is out to give his best in his recent call up to the Harambee Stars set up.
Were was an omission from the team that was led by Sebastien Migne but the Zesco United striker has been given a lifeline under new coach Francis Kimanzi and according to him, he will be giving is best when called upon in the game against Mozambique.
The striker admits that everyone is giving his best in training and he was already looking forward to Sunday but couldn't predict how the day would pan for him.
"Everyone is pushing himself in training and I know that will be the same during game day. I'm feeling good because it's been long since I played with the national team. I want to believe everything happens for a reason and now I am here.
"If I'm given that chance I will give my best but how Ill play is left to God. I know the performance will be at the top from everyone during the day," Were said after the team's Friday session at the MISC Kasarani.
Were will be fighting for a place together with Kashiwa Reysol striker Michael Olunga and Ulinzi Stars striker Enosh Ochieng; the latter having been handed a call up after Masud Juma pulled out due to an injury.
