Premier League side Everton has been handed a major injury blow with news midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin is set to be on the sidelines for three months after undergoing surgery.
Everton confirmed the reports via their Twitter account where they revealed Gbamin has undergone surgery on a tendon injury on his right quadriceps muscle. The defensive midfielder is set to be out of action for around three months.
The 24-year-old had returned to light training at the start of this month but suffered a setback in his rehabilitation. As a result, the summer signing from Mainz underwent surgery in France on Tuesday. And now he will continue his rehabilitation with Club medical staff at USM Finch Farm.
