πŸ¦πŸ‘ Ten players that have caught our eye in the Premier League this season

With eight rounds of the Premier League completed and matchday 9 on the horizon, which ten players have impressed us most so far in 2019/2020?

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Aaron Wan-Bissaka

United's new right-back has missed their last two games and it has shown. He's been one of the few bright sparks in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's poor start to the season, having completed 31 tackles in six matches, at an average of 5.2 tackles per game.

🇵🇹 Ricardo Pereira

Speaking of tackles made, no player in the Premier League has made more than Leicester City's flying right back with 35, and he's chipped in with two cracking goals too. A much-improved player who's integral to Leicester's forward-thinking style under Brendan Rodgers.

🇫🇷 Matteo Guendouzi

Always provocative and central to everything Arsenal does, the young Frenchman is larger than life and always imposes his personality on a match. He's a purposeful midfield schemer who can do just about everything in the engine room. Guendouzi has started all of Arsenal's Premier League games this term and is one of the 20 players shortlisted for the prestigious 2019 Golden Boy award

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Mason Mount

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is another Golden Boy award nominee and he's started this season with four Premier League goals and a deserved England call-up, forging a great relationship with Tammy Abraham and forming a new British core at Chelsea. He's technically gifted, likes to dribble and can pull off a killer final pass.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Tammy Abraham

Like his teammate Mount, many pundits expected the young Englishman to struggle to make the step up from the Championship to the Premier League, but eight goals in eight appearances in the top-flight is a pretty stunning start for the 22-year-old striker.

🇧🇷 Fabinho

Monaco's loss was very much Liverpool's gain when versatile Brazilian Fabinho moved to Merseyside. Equally adept at right-back or in the centre of midfield, he's now a lynchpin in the heart of the battle, winning tackles and setting Liverpool forward in motion with his great range of passing in transitions. This guy is an all-action midfield player.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 John McGinn

Goals for club and country have seen Scottish midfielder John McGinn' stock rise considerably in recent weeks. Alongside excellent Zimbabwean star Marvelous Nakamba, McGinn has excelled in an all-action role and even Sir Alex Ferguson has been singing his praises. He'll be looking to push on from here and add to his three goals and one assist after eight rounds of matches.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 James Maddison

There's almost no doubt remaining that James Maddison is a highly talented player capable of performing at the highest level for club and country. Only Wilfried Zaha has completed more dribbles per match than Maddison, with 3.3. Maddison's technical gifts and ability to create chances will be a major factor in Leicester's unlikely push for the top four.

🇸🇳 Sadio Mané

Including winning a penalty against Leicester City last time out, Sadio Mane's goal direct contributions have won Liverpool eight points already in 2019/2020. Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah surely combine as the most formidable attack in Europe, but it's Mane's transformation from unpredictable talent to Mr Consistency means that he's the one that stands out.

🇧🇪 Kevin De Bruyne

What's there to say really about one of the best midfielders on the planet? Kevin De Bruyne already has eight assists this season and Man City will be hoping for him to recover quickly from his latest injury setback because the Belgian's ability to create chances will give them a shot of catching Liverpool at the top. Without him, they may struggle.

The Premier League returns to our screens on Saturday, starting with a clash between Everton and West Ham United.
