Kenyan Premier League side Chemelil will not honor their week six clash against Bandari FC at the Mbaraki Sports Complex.
The match between the two sides is set for Saturday 19 October but Chemelil will not travel to the coastal town after failing to manage transport on time.
A source in the team’s camp told Futaa: “We had a meeting with the team’s management led by the chairman in the morning and after trying all avenues, there was no green light.
“They informed the players later that they were not able to cater for their transportation on time so the team would not be able to honor the game against Bandari.”
Ready for the Clash
Earlier in the day, the team’s assistant coach Charles Odero said they were ready for the clash after training the entire week but was waiting for a word from the management to give them the green light to make it to Mombasa.
The latest news comes on a back of a walkover handed by Sony Sugar FC last week against FC with the same team expected to dish another walkover when Tusker comes calling on Saturday.
Chemelil has lost all their four matches and their financial woes has not helped their situation.
