Harambee Stars defender Joseph Okumu missed IF Elfsborg was held to a 2-2 draw by hosts Orebro in a Swedish top-flight clash staged at the Behrn Arena on Monday night.
Visitors Elfsborg had taken a 14th-minute lead through Levibut Larson restored parity for the hosts in the 43rd minute as both teams headed for the half time break on a 1-1 draw.
Ishizaki was to restore the visitors lead from the penalty spot five minutes from time but Orebro had other ideas as Bertilsson came up with a goal deep in stoppage time for a share of spoils.
The draw leaves Elfsborg eighth on the spot on 37 points, four points above their opponents Orebro who are eighth this coming after 28 games played.
Okumu who has so far featured in two league games will hope that he can get more playing time when they host IFK Goteborg next Monday.
The defender featured for Harambee Stars in the entire game as they lost to Mozambique in a friendly clash last Sunday in what was his first game under the new head coach Francis Kimanzi.
