Ayub Timbe on the score sheet as Renhe throw a two goal lead

Harambee Stars winger Ayub Timbe was on the scoresheet as Beijing Renhe threw a 2-0 lead to be held to a 2-2 draw by Tiajin Tianhai in a Chinese Super League clash staged at the Tianjin Olympic Center on Sunday 27 October.

Visitors Renhe took a 24th-minute lead through Musa Diop after an assist from Cao Yongjing with Timbe doubling their lead in additional minutes of the first after being teed by Zhu Baojie.

Hosts Tianjin had other ideas in the second half with Alan reducing the deficit in the 52nd minute and Zhang Chengling coming up with the equalizer in the 62nd minute after being assisted by Sun Ke.

Timbe Substituted

Timbe was to be withdrawn in the 62nd minute for Ghanaian Elvis Manu but the result didn’t do them any favors as they seek to come out of the bottom position.

Renhe is placed last with 13 points after the draw, nine points below the safety positions and they will hope that they can turn their sorry form into a win when they host Guangzhou R & F.
