Football Kenya Federation has suspended all matches involving National Super League newbies Northern Wanderers FC.
In a letter sent to the NSL chairperson by FKF competition manager Mr. Frank Ogola, the federation was in receipt of a letter from Wanderers requesting to be removed from the league.
In the letter, the newbies requested that Eldoret Youth take their position in the league this following the memorandum of understanding signed between the two clubs earlier in the year.
With the move, Ogola requested the chairperson of the league to suspend all the games involving the team until the cade is determined by the leagues and competition committee.
Wanderers had taken the slot of Eldoret Youth this season after the latter complained of financial struggles. Despite a promising preseason from the Nairobi based club, their start was a sorry one and by the time they were leaving the league, not a single match had been won by the newbies.
It remains unclear whether Eldoret Youth will be able to honor games following their struggles witnessed in the past season; a situation that has affected even teams in the Kenyan Premier League.
