Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat has said him and Thembinkosi Lorch are 'cool with each other'.
Amakhosi and Bucs fans were left in shock when Lorch hacked down Billiat before adding a malicious stamp on the Zimbabwean star last weekend. With the referee unsighted and no VAR system yet in the PSL, Lorch was lucky to escape with a yellow card.
“We don’t have any beef. It happens in big games where emotions run high and things are done in the heat of the moment,” Billiat told Soccer Laduma at today’s press conference.
“I know this because I also do some crazy stuff at times," Billiat added.
On whether Billiat felt Lorch’s actions were done with intentions to harm him, the Chiefs ace said his Pirates opponent did not stamp on him on purpose.
“We are cool, we spoke about it after the game. I don’t think his actions were deliberate. Orlando Pirates are a big team with quality players, I don’t think they will target me,” Billiat concluded.
The two superstars will again meet this Saturday in Soweto, this time in a league game at 15:30.
