Who are the youngsters who made the Man United starting XI against Astana?

Manchester United suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Astana on Thursday night in Europa League clash played at the Astana Stadium. 

A number of youngsters were handed a starting role as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer chose to rest some of his stars with a grueling fixture schedule on the horizon. 

Having already qualified, Solskjaer did not find it hard to give some of the youngsters their debuts, with a good number of them impressing.

Di’Shon Bernard, Ethan Laird, and Dylan Levitt made their full debuts, with Matej Kovar, Teden Mengi, Max Taylor, Ethan Galbraith, Arnau Puigmal, Largie Ramazani and D’Mani Mellor named as substitutes.

But who are these youngsters?

Di’Shon Bernard 

The 19-year-old had an evening to forget as his own goal handed the hosts the win, bur overall, he will be pleased with his development.

He first played for Chelsea between the Under-10s and Under-16s, before moving the Manchester where he has made his mark. 

He is a regular in the Under-23s defense, and his pace has been a key highlight of his developing career. 

Ethan Laird 

The full-back has played for England in the Under-19s and is a popular figure at the club's youth team. 

He loves joining the attack on his favored right flank and has been named in the Man United senior squad team, most notably traveling with the side for the Partizan game.

He scored United's very first goal in the EFL Trophy (known as the Leasing.com Trophy) with a terrific strike at Rotherham United in August. 

Dylan Levitt 

The promising midfielder has an astute passing ability that has been likened with the likes of Xavi and Iniesta.

He also has a great vision and his form has caught the attention of Ryan Giggs at the Wales national team, having received call-ups.

The 19-year-old's future is at the club, having signed a long-term deal, and is highly rated. The young schemer is also the coolest of penalty takers.
