Several Zambian players have had a trying time in the first round of the Absa Premiership, Futaa looks at who's likely to face loan moves.
Ghampani Lungu - SuperSport United
At 21, the versatile Lungu needs nothing more than playing football every week. Game time was what he initially enjoyed before later sliding down the pecking order at Matsatsantsa. a Pitori. With just four appearances this season and the last action being three months ago - the former Power Dynamos man needs a January move to grow. He could follow two other United youngsters Kamohelo Mahlatsi and Athenkosi Dlala to the University of Pretoria in the lower division.
Billy Mutale - SuperSport United
One can be forgiven for forgetting that United have a Mutale in their books. The 26-year-old central defender is yet to make a single appearance since joining from Power Dynamos in 2018. The 19-year-old Luke Fleurs gets more game time alongside experienced heads such as Clayton Daniels, Bongani Khumalo and Grant Kekana.

Muwowo came to Soweto with a wonderful reputation as a highly gifted left-footed attacker. But the 23-year-old has not been enjoying opportunities to play. The former Forest Rangers and Nkana FC man has made just one appearance for Bucs this season. Don’t be surprised to see him move to Pirates’ favourite player business partners Chippa United come the January transfer window.
