🍀 Christopher Jullien was 'buzzing' after he scored the winning goal for Celtic

The man of the moment, Christopher Jullien who scored the winning goal for Celtic to win the Scottish League Cup has been in celebration mode as he also received his first-ever career medal.

Jullien who joined Celtic for £7million in the European summer transfer window has been nothing short of exceptional this season and it is no surprise he stepped up to the plate for The Hoops.

The French defender scored a screamer in the 60th minute before referee Willie Collum red-carded Jeremie Frimpong three minutes for his challenge on Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos in the box.

Speaking to BBC after the win, the 26-year-old Julien said: “I have to congratulate all the team. We just did a job, it was amazing. It shows the strength of the team.

“For me, it’s a beautiful day. It’s the first time I have won a trophy.

“It was really difficult. We just fought all the way. It’s just unbelievable.”

Goalkeeper Fraser Forster further added: “I can’t say how much this means to me. It was just one of the days, it went my way today. I’m buzzing.

“As long as you win, that’s all that matters. We really had to fight and grind it out.

“There have been days when it’s not gone my way, today it has. I didn’t really think about the penalty, to be honest. I picked the way it went. I’ll take it.

“That’s why I came back; to play in games like this, to win silverware, to play European football.”
