Gor Mahia striker Gislein Yikpe has passed his Yanga medical teats ahead of his unveiling.
Information from a page run by Yanga fans has a picture of the Ivorian in a medical room undergoing his tests with the player expected to join his teammates in Mbeya ahead of their matches against Mbeya City (later today) and Tanzania Prisons.
Yikpe is the first player to leave cash-strapped Gor Mahia who has had a series of strikes from the players due to unpaid dues.
Some have even failed to honor previous games with this lot having captain Kenneth Muguna-who has been linked with a move to DR Congo's Motema Pembe- and defender Joash Onyango; both having been the national team in the just concluded CECAFA Championship.
Apart from Yikpe, Ghanaian Francis Afiriyie is another player believed to be on his way out but a tabloid in Ghana refuted the claims saying the striker was committed to the Gor Mahia course as he angles a call up to the Ghanaian national team.
Both Afiriyie and Yikpe arrived in the summer and had been billed to replace striker Jacques Tuyisenge who had left the club for Angola's Petro Atletico.
