Nigerian midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo is set to join La Liga club Getafe on loan from English Championship side Stoke City.
Etebo has struggled to get playing time since the sack of former manager Nathan Jones, falling out of favour when Micheal O’Neil took charge in November.
An injury since October has also made matters worse for the 24-year-old as he now seeks for opportunities elsewhere.
According to Complete Sports, Etebo may not feature against Real Madrid on Saturday as the deal is not likely to be rushed through, but Getafe hope he will be involved in the Cup game against Badalona FC the following weekend.
Etebo has featured in 11 league games for Stoke City this season.
The former Warri Wolves player who joined Stoke City from Portuguese club, CD Fierense for £6.3m in the summer of 2018 previously spent time on loan at Spanish outfit Las Palmas.
