Liverpool approach Trabzonspor’s Ugurcan Cakir

Liverpool has submitted a bid to sign Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, according to the president of the Turkish club.

The Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the 23-year-old, who made his international debut for Turkey in 2019 against Greece.

Adrian was signed from West Ham last summer to provide competition for first-choice Alisson but the Reds are keen to sign a younger deputy.

Trabzonspor president, Ahmet Agaoglu, has revealed that Liverpool has made a bid.

‘There are offers for Cakir, we continue to receive offers. It’s been said Liverpool have made an offer. So a team that is undefeated in the Premier League wants my keeper. In other words, Liverpool’s goalkeeper is in my goal,’ said Agaoglu.

Cakir is valued at around £15m by Trabzonspor.
