URA FC on Wednesday continued with their bullish run to the top with a 3-1 victory over stuttering BUL FC in a Ugandan Premier League match played at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Saidi Kyeyune's 25th-minute strike gave the Tax Collectors a 1-0 lead at the breather before Cromwell Rwothomio doubled the lead in the 48th minute. Rwothomio then completed his brace in 65th minute before Hamisi Tibita pulled one back for the hosts in the dying minutes.
The win saw URA climb to sixth on the table with 26 points while BUL FC remains third with 29 points. URA has now won three of their last five matches, drawing the other two. On the other hand, BUL FC continues to struggle for form having won only one of their last five matches, drawing two and losing the rest.
Other matches that were played on Wednesday saw Police FC thrash Express FC 6-1, Mbarara City pipped Wakiso Giants 1-0 while Kyetume held Tooro United in a one-all draw.
Vipers continue to enjoy their stay at the top with 42 points, seven ahead of second-placed KCCA FC. At the other end, Proline props the table with 12points, three less than Soana.
League matches resume tomorrow with three ties on the card. KCCA take on Soana while Police entertain Proline. Vipers will host Villa at 4.00 pm.
