Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa has announced he has changed agents in a move that seems to have brought him closer to a transfer to Arsenal.
Kurzawa has been linked with a move to Arsenal during the current transfer window as Mikel Arteta looks to reinforce a defense ravaged by injury. The left-back will be represented by the company which is headed up by Kia Joorabchian, the agent with close links to Arsenal and in particular, technical director Edu Gaspar.
Joorabchian is said to have played a key role in Arsenal's deal to sign David Luiz from Chelsea in the summer and is now set to negotiate Kurzawa's potential move to north London.
It is thought PSG is reluctant to let the 27-year-old leave in January, but he is into the final six months of his contract.
Arsenal in advanced talks to sign PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa. Negotiating today over deal for this window. Free agent in summer so trying to do it now without fee. #AFC working on 3-4 loan / free / low fee deals (doesn’t mean will do all) @TheAthleticUK: https://t.co/OmzZiA5Ije— David Ornstein (@David_Ornstein) January 16, 2020
