Tottenham defender Danny Rose had a burst up with manager Jose Mourinho in training as reported by Sportsmail.
The happenings were instigated by Mourinho’s move to omit the England defender out of their weekend draw against Watford with Mourinho saying that Rose was absent due to a back injury something the player denied.
The 29-year old is said to have asked the Portuguese for an explanation of why he was not in the matchday squad despite feeling fit to play.
The incident is said to have happened in Sunday’s warm-down training session with the clash having voices being raised. It is believed that some players were not happy with Rose’ reaction.
On Monday morning, Rose initially warmed-up with his team-mates in front of TV cameras before Mourinho decided to take him aside for a one-to-one session.
Rose’s absence at Watford, coupled with his omission from the midweek FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough, had prompted questions as to whether the full-back was still in Mourinho’s plans.
Rose has not been short of controversies with ex-manager Mauricio Pochettino having been keen to offload the player in the summer. He was linked with a move to Watford and was left of the club’s preseason training in Spain as he was given time to talk with potential suitors.
