Solskjaer equals Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho’s record with win over Manchester City

Following the 0-1 win over arch-rivals Manchester City, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer joined an elite list of managers who have beaten Pep Guardiola twice away from home.

United managed to beat City 0-1 at the Etihad Stadium but the victory was not enough to see them through to the final as they lost the first leg of the Carabao Cup 1-3.

Nemanja Matic scored the lone goal but was unfortunate as he was handed his marching orders for a second bookable offense in the closing half.

United picked up their second win over City this season with all of those coming at the Etihad Stadium after a 1-2 win in the Premier League back in December.

For Solskjaer, it was his second win against Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium and the United manager becomes only the third manager in history to beat the Spaniard twice away from home.

Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho are the two other managers who have also achieved that feat.
