Guardiola and City will hope that the inquest result replicates that of last season where the players staged one after their defeat away at Newcastle late January as they ultimately pipped Liverpool to the title by one point.
The Spurs loss was City’s sixth of the season a result that leaves them 22 points behind leaders Liverpool.
