The Warriors of Zimbabwe have been uplifted by the confirmed availability of Charlton Athletic striker Macauley Bonne.
While Bonne irritated many Zimbabweans by pulling out of last year’s squad for “unforeseen medical conditions,” the 24-year-old has now assured his fans he is excited to come south next month.
“I can’t wait to come in March, I’m ready man, can’t wait to come.’’ Bonne told Warriors team manager Wellington Mpandare via The Herald.
New Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic will begin his spell against African champions Algeria. Zimbabwe have back to back 2021 AFCON qualifiers against the Desert Foxes. The games are set for the week of 23-31 March 2020.
Bonne is currently on eight goals, one assist in 20 English Championship for Charlton this season.
