Manchester City will settle on either Mauricio Pochettino or Brendan Rodgers if Pep Guardiola decides to leave the club.
Guardiola’s future at the club has been in jeopardy with the Spaniard failing to promise he will stay at the club beyond this season and the two-year suspension from the Champions League on Friday complicated the matters more.
According to the Telegraph, reigning Premier League champions are in a crisis mode with players being called to an emergency meeting on Saturday where the club tried to ease fears from the squad.
The suspension might trickle down to the league where City might be deducted some points with a series of star players expected to leave the club due to the lack of Champions League football.
After dominating the English league, Guardiola’s aim has to be to win the Champions League with the Citizens but that hasn’t taken place.
Pochettino is currently out of work having been sacked by Tottenham in November while Rodgers has only recently signed a new long-term deal at Leicester where his team is placed third on the log.
