After Alexandre Lacazette scored Arsenal’s fourth in their 4-0 win against Newcastle on Sunday, his team ran over to the corner flag to celebrate with him but according to Roy Keane, the celebrations were ‘way over the top’.
The 4-0 win is Arteta’s most emphatic win in the Premier League, and given that Lacazette had gone nine games without a goal, the team seemed to be pleased with his finish.
Reacting to the celebrations, Keane told Sky Sports: ‘It was way over the top.
‘When I was watching it I thought they were 10 points clear in the league the way they were celebrating.
‘No, forget Arsenal. Way over the top celebration for beating Newcastle 4-0. Ridiculous.’
After this win, the Gunners sit 10th with 34 points, seven points off the top four spot.
