NSL: Huge win for Nairobi Stima as KPL Promotion race heats Up

Nairobi Stima kept the pressure on Bidco United and Nairobi City Stars in the Kenyan Premier League promotional race after whitewashing Mount Kenya United 7-2 in a league game staged at the Karuturi Sports Grounds on Sunday.

The win saw Stima maintain their third position on 45 points; six points behind second-placed Bidco and ten behind leaders City Stars.

Stima surge was aided by struggling St. Joseph’s Youth who held Vihiga United to a 1-1 draw on Saturday at the Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium.

Other games saw Kibera Black Stars emerge 3-2 winners over Shabana FC in an entertaining thriller staged at Nairobi’s Camp Toyoyo. The win sees Kibera rise to 15th on the log with 21 points with Shabana maintaining their 11th position.

Ushuru were shocked 2-1 by Fortune Sacco 2-1 as Bidco picked all the three points at the Coast against Modern Coast Rangers to keep the pressure on City Stars.
