A clinical first leg performance from the German giants puts them within touching distance of the Champions League quarterfinals.
How did we rate the players?
🇩🇪 Manuel Neuer 7
Not his busiest evening but good on the ball as usual.
🇫🇷 Benjamin Pavard 7
Sturdy performance from the Frenchman who kept the ball moving well and combined nicely with Coman on the right flank.
🇩🇪 Jerome Boateng 6.5
One or two defensive lapses from the experienced German but solid on the whole and contributed to a clean sheet.
🇦🇹 David Alaba 7
The versatile Austrian didn't put a foot wrong in the centre of defence and made an important last-ditch clearance with the scores still level at 0-0.
🇨🇦 Alphonso Davies 8.5
A quiet first half was followed by an explosive second period. The converted Canadian winger tore Chelsea's right side to shreds with his pace and power, assisting Lewandowski for Bayern's third.
🇪🇸 Thiago 9
Thiago Alcântara is a natural footballer that makes the sport look ridiculously easy. The Spaniard dictated the tempo of the match and won his battle with Mateo Kovacic, who was probably Chelsea's best player.
🇩🇪 Joshua Kimmich 6.5
Efficient in the centre of the park, sharing the defensive responsibilities with Thiago alongside him. Picked up a booking. Not his best night but still quietly effective.
🇫🇷 Kingsley Coman 6.5
A frustrating night for the flying winger who came off with an injury having only recently returned from a long layoff. Spurned a golden chance to score early in the contest.
🇩🇪 Thomas Muller 8.5
A top-class display from the intelligent 29-year-old, exploiting space and creating chances for teammates throughout the night. Hit the woodwork with a smart improvised header at 0-0. Muller is now Bayern's key creative outlet.
🇩🇪 Serge Gnabry 8.5
The ex-Arsenal man loves playing in London. His brace takes his tally of Champions League goals in the English capital to six this season, after a four-goal haul against Spurs. Gradually becoming one of the key men in this Bayern outfit. Could have had a hat-trick if his sharp volley was a few inches lower.
🇵🇱 Robert Lewandowski 8.5
A good night's work for the Polish goal-machine, who has now hit 39 in 33 games across all competitions. Came close to scoring numerous times in the first half and turned provider for both of Gnabry's goals, wrapping up the win with a goal of his own.
