Italian FA’s Medical Commission set to meet as they plot Serie A return

Plans to have the Serie A return soon are underway, with the Italian football federation (FIGC) medical commission set to meet over the same. 

According to reports, the medical commission is set to advise on various issues among them sanitization of clubs' training grounds.

The Serie A, Just like other major leagues across Europe, was postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, with the return date still unknown.

Italy is among the hardest-hit European countries, forcing the government to put the country under lockdown to contain the spread. 

A number of Italian sides are optimistic about resuming the season, with playing behind closed doors among suggestions on the table. 

Brescia president Massimo Cellino has however indicated his side will not honour matches if the league is forced to resume soon without proper plans. 

Juventus are a point above Lazio in the current standings, with Antonio Conte's Inter Milan third, nine points off the leaders.
