Ovie Ejaria’s chances of playing for England have ended with the talented midfielder now set to become a Nigerian international.
The English-raised player played for several divisions for England youth, including the high levels of U20 and U21. But with slim chances to make the senior side, Ejaria, who is on loan from Anfield to Reading, is about to wear the Super Eagles jersey.
“Ovie Ejaria has committed to Nigeria’s Super Eagles team source tells me,” Tweeted the leading Nigeria journalist Colin Udo.
“Paperwork is already with FIFA, and Nigerian passport needs to be renewed. All but settled for the Liverpool man who is on loan at Reading.”

The 22-year-old will be competing with Alex Iwobi and could just be the ideal creative playmaker Nigeria has been missing since Austin Jay-Jay Okocha.
