Ghana national team head coach Charles Akonnor has expressed his delight at the return of Raphael Dwamena who suffered a near career-ending heart condition, Ghana Guardian reported.
Dwamena resumed training with his Real Zaragoza teammates, four months after successful heart surgery.
The 24-year-old has not featured for the team since October 2019 after it was discovered that he had a pulmonary heart condition.
"I have been there before and it is not easy for a young player to go through what Raphael Dwamena went through, had a chat with him and I’m happy to see him back in training," Akonnor said.
Dwamena is contracted to Real Zaragoza until the summer of 2022.
