Wolverhampton Wanderer striker Rúben Neves has responded to speculations linking him with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool.
The 23-year-old has been touted to leave Wolves in the summer with reports indicating that United might acquire his services if they can get Jadon Sancho.
Other reports indicated that Liverpool might turn to the player if Sadio Mane decides to leave the Red for Real Madrid.
But in an interview, Neves insisted that he and his family were happy at Wolves and wasn’t surprised with the speculations as it is something every footballer lives with.
“There is always speculation. Since I’ve been here, there’s always been speculation about our team. It’s something normal in football. It’s normal stuff for us. We don’t think about that, we just think about playing and training.
“Of course, we want to be together for the most time we can. But it’s football. The speculation is there; our job is to play. Fortunately, it (coming to Wolves) was a very good decision for me-for my career and for my family.
“I’m really happy here. My family is really happy here as well. So, it was a great decision. It was a difficult one but in the end, it resulted really well for me and, as I said, I’m really happy. I just want to keep on going and help the club,” he said.
Neves has been one of the most consistent players for Wolves this season with the player making the fifth-most appearances for his team this term after featuring in 43 games.
