Jesse Lingard set to move to Italy

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is set to move to Italy in the coming summer.

Reports from The Independent says that United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is convinced the player may not be part of his plans after giving him so many opportunities with the club now ready to offload him in the summer.

“Jesse Lingard has been in regular contact with Chris Smalling and Ashley Young about what Italy is like. The midfielder is greatly tempted by a move to Serie A,” claimed reporter Miguel Delaney.

The player himself admitted in an interview in Adidas Home Team’s The Huddle via The Mirror recently that he didn’t really push himself last season something that might have caught the attention of his manager.

With the arrival of Bruno Fernandes and competition for places in midfield, the 27-year-old is expected to be a fringe player with the club's academy graduate having joined agent Mino Raiola a decision that was said to have been angled at instigating a mobe.

AC Milan is said to be interested in the player after it was reported that he had started to plan for a move before the coronavirus crisis hit the football world.

Lingard is now valued at just £15 million is expected to be replaced by Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
