Manchester City youngster Phil Foden has become the latest player to break the social distancing rules after he was pictured at Formby public beach with fans.
The midfielder was captured on video playing football with members of the public on the beach, which is against the set guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 20-year-old is now set to meet with the club officials over his actions, which are in direct breach of the set rules.
Premier League players have been directed to maintain strict social distancing practices ahead of the anticipated return.
The clubs have been in training for two weeks now, with action set to resume on June 17 with a match between Manchester City against Arsenal.
Foden is not the first player to breach the directives, as teammate Kyle Walker hosted a party at his house despite the danger of huddling.
Four Tottenham players and coach Jose Mourinho were also pictured training in public grounds in May, same as Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, who attended a London party.
