Dubai's Al-Ain has denied reports that it is interested in Al Ahly's manager Rene Weiler, Egyptian media reports.
The Emirati giants have also been linked with move for Al Ahly's veteran left-nack Ali Maaloul.
KingFut reports that Al-Ain FC board member, Majid Owais refuted claims that the club had approached the Swiss manager.
“Al Ain has a capable coach who achieved excellent results with the team, and under his command, we are qualified for the final match of the President’s Cup.
“Also, we are currently placed second in the standing table of the league away by 6 points of the top team, and still, we have a match with the top team that might reduce the gap into 3 points,” he added.
Al-Owais denied that the club had placed a bid for Tunisia international Maaloul saying they have no plans to sign him.
“Such news is no more than rumors. Tunisia’s Maaloul is a skillful player but was not part of Al Ain options at all, and the same applies to Weiler,” Al Owais told Al-Ain official website.
Al-Ain were also recently linked with Ismaily and Egypt national team center-back Baher Elmohamady who was reportedly on the verge of joining The Boss on loan.
