Ander Herrera defends Jose Mourinho's tenure at Manchester United

Paris Saint Germain midfielder Ander Herrera has defender Jose Mourinho’s tenure at Manchester United.

Herrera who left United last summer when asked if the Portuguese bullied players he said the manager only did that to players who were not honest.

Mourinho’s tenure at United came to an end under the most toxic of circumstances in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era with claims that he had lost the changing room following feuds with Paul Pogba and a certain set of players.

It is said that Mourinho didn’t get along with certain key players towards the end of his United tenure something that had caused tension in the dressing room.

Herrera comments suggest that the former Chelsea FC boss saw some players as dishonest something that might have caused a divided dressing room at United.

The Portuguese at one point didn’t have a known a starting eleven and kept on tinkering with the squad before being sacked for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer late in 2019.

Herrera was one of the players who featured in a lot of games under Mourinho with the player deployed by the Portuguese in big games to track specific players.
