Harambee Stars winger Ayub Timbe managed eight minutes as Reading went don 2-1 to Derby County on Saturday.
Timbe whose future at the club is yet to be sorted ahead of the June 30 deadline came on for Oviemuno Dominic when the visitors had pulled a goal back just after the hour mark.
First-half goals by Tom Lawrence and Wayne Rooney (penalty) ultimately proved to be the Royals' undoing at Pride Park after Andy Rinomhota's header gave hope but the Royals couldn't manage to secure a point.
A late drama ensued in the game as both teams finished with a man less following the sending off of Tom Lawrence and Reading defender Matt Miazga following an altercation.
Timbe is on a six-month loan deal at Reading and there has been no news whether he will stay at the club beyond the end of the month.
Manager Mark Bowen gives his say as a couple of goals right before the half-time break gave the Royals too big a mountain to climb in the second period - despite looking the most threatening for big periods of the fixture. pic.twitter.com/KQpnvpGHSR— Reading FC (@ReadingFC) June 27, 2020
