Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he did expect some challenges after picking up the top job with the Gunners, but he did not know it would be overwhelming.
In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, the Spaniard says he is focused on working out ways to overcome difficulties in the most efficient manner.
“I am always very optimistic,” said Arteta, smiling.
“I didn’t expect this many challenges in the first six months here, but it’s part of our job. There are always a lot of unexpected things that arise.
“We just have to try to solve them in the best possible way, be positive, and move forward.”
The Gunners have been inconsistent with their performances on the pitch, but injury woes have also prevented Arteta from making any significant impact at the Emirates so far.
The London side is 7th on the EPL log with 49 points.
