Manchester United are preparing for Axel Tuanzebe's return to the squad following a foot injury that has kept him on the sidelines.
Tuanzebe has been out of action for United since the restart (due to the coronavirus pandemic) but Manchester Evening News can confirm that he has made a full recovery and is prepared for his return.
"Axel is getting closer," Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said on Friday in a press conference.
"In a few weeks’ time, I guess he will be with us training full-time and hopefully we’ll be able to give him games quickly."
The 22-year-old quickly became Solskjaer's third-choice centre-back as he made use of captain Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof and the duo could potentially feature in the friendly against Aston Villa.
Tuanzebe last featured for the Red Devils in a League Cup game against Colchester United on December 18, 2019, and he will be ready to hit the ground running in United's defence.
