Kevin De Bruyne aims at winning the quadruple with Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne claims Manchester City have their sights set on all four trophies this season.

The Belgian playmaker insists targeting silverware is City's prime motivation, not making up for last season's frustrations.

"I think the motivation doesn't change if you win or you lose," said De Bruyne after their season-opening 3-1 win at Wolves on Monday.

"When you start a new season there are new aspirations, you want to win the most as possible and we want to win everything.

"For us, all four (trophies) is in the mind, that's the mentality. It is obviously very hard but we went into Monday knowing that it was going to be a very hard game.

"We didn't train a lot but I think the performance was really good and that's good for us."

City's 2019-20 campaign ended disappointingly as they crashed out of the Champions League to Lyon at the quarter-final stage after finishing a distant second to Liverpool in the Premier League.

They were also beaten in the FA Cup semi-finals by Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola's men will be back in action this Thursday when they host Bournemouth in the third round of the Carabao Cup, followed by the visit of Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
