Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders has marvelled at Takumi Minamino's work ethic which continues to impress the technical team.
The Japan international registered three goals and one assist in 18 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool last season.
"Wow - what a desire!" Lijnders said of the 25-year-old left-winger.
"He is somebody who turns our game collective as well, the same as what Roberto [Firmino] does. His development has been outstanding - he always give everything, each day."
Minamino could potentially start for the Reds on Thursday when they meet with Arsenal in the Carabao Cup with Curtis Jones expected to feature as well.
Lijnders said on Jones: "He's the type we really like. So much bravery, courage, self-confidence, but with a constant focus to learn.
"He's probably one the most offensive midfielder we have. Always first to make a surprise move from midfield, always first to shoot."
