It's not yet been revealed why exactly Spurs midfielder Dele Alli has been frozen out of the Tottenham Hotspur starting XI by Jose Mourinho, but the club's former manager Harry Redknapp believes he should 'get his head down' and work.
Bamidele has featured in only two of the London side's Premier League matches and was even left out of the match squads against West Ham and Burnley recently, something that has many speculating about his future at the club.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Redknapp said: "I'm such a big fan of Alli. He's a great talent, so it's sad to see [what is happening].
"He's got to be careful. He's maybe a bit of a crossroads [in his career] at the moment. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors.
"Jose sees him every day and there's obviously something he doesn't like and that's why he's not picked him and dropped him out of the squad.
"Dele Alli needs to get back to the player we know he can be. He needs to get his head down and concentrate on his football. When he's playing well, he's a fantastic player."
The 24-year-old must now decide fast if his future is at the club or not, even with the window closed, as he is still in contract with the club until 2024.
The England international has scored 63 goals from 227 appearances for the Lilywhites.
