Kylian Mbappe urged to join Real Madrid

Arsenal legend Robert Pires urged Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe to join Real Madrid if he wants o to become a top player.

Mbappe has attracted interests from a number of clubs including Real Madrid and Barcelona but moves away from PSG has failed to materialize. According to reports, Zinedine Zidane is keen to bring the Frenchman to Santiago Bernabeu after the Los Blancos failed to capture the superstar following the coronavirus pandemic that impacted many clubs financially.

Pires says he would be thrilled if Mbappe moves to Madrid as he believes the 21-year-old would hit new levels.

"Of course. I'm French, I like Paris Saint-Germain and I'd like him to stay in Ligue 1," he told AS,

"But if he wants to keep growing as a player, he should sign for Real Madrid."

Mbappe's contract with the Ligue 1 giants is set to expire in the summer of 2020.
