Man United handed double injury concern ahead of West Brom clash

Manchester United could be without Victor Lindelof when they play West Bromwich Albion on Saturday after the defender was withdrawn during a UEFA Nations League match on Tuesday.

The defender signaled to be taken off as Sweden lost 4-2 to France, and is now a major doubt for the weekend's Premier League clash.

Speaking after the match, Sweden assistant manager Peter Wettergren confirmed the defender had a bit of a problem and indicated he wanted off.

“He was in a bit of pain after the match against Croatia, but said that he will give everything for the team,” Wettergren said as quoted by Aftonbladet.

“He was able to train okay yesterday and said ‘I’ll push as long as possible,"

“He gave me a signal at half time that he would not go the whole [of second] half. Then I told him to shout when it is not possible.”

Lindelof has been carrying a back problem for weeks now, even though he played in three matches before the substitution on Tuesday night.

His absence could see Axel Tuanzebe line up alongside Harry Maguire in central defence against the Baggies at Old Trafford.

Reports indicate more players, including Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are doubts fo the game.

The Frenchman trained alone earlier in the week amid reports of a back problem sustained during France’s 1-0 win over Portugal on Saturday.
