Liverpool has received a timely boost with the news that defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to return to training later this week.
The Englishman has been out of action for almost a month and according to The Athletic’s James Pearce, the player should be back in contention for Liverpool’s clash with Crystal Palace next week.
In the absence of the defender, Liverpool gave a chance to youngster Neco Williams who had to be withdrawn at half time during their 1-1 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.
Trent has been one of the most dependable players in the Liverpool team in the last two seasons and has three assists in the league already this season this after registering 13 in the past season.
He has been one for the club’s creating force and his return allows Williams to step out of the spotlight who many feel is not ready for the demands of the Premier League.
