Manchester United are willing to double the wages of midfielder Bruno Fernandes after his sterling performance since arriving at the club in January.
The Portuguese signed a five-year deal when he arrived from Sporting CP in a deal that will eventually cost around £67million while awarding him a deal won’t happen now, The Sun reports that the club plans to hold talks with the player in 2021 so that they can agree on fresh terms.
The new deal is expected to see the player be among the top earners in the team with a weekly salary of £200,000 expected to be handed to the player.
United has keeper David De Dea as their current top earner with the Spaniard currently on £375,000 a week deal.
Other top earners in the team include Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.
