Laliga side Getafe are on the verge of completing a move for FC Barcelona midfielder Carles Alena.
Alena has been a fringe player at Camp Nou and believes he can use his potential somewhere with Spanish portal Marca reporting that the two clubs are close to an agreement regarding the player.
Alena wants regular football and it is believed that Marc Cucurella, who is his former teammate, is playing a huge role in convincing the player to join him at Getafe.
Both players worked together at La Masia and in the Spanish youth setup with Cucurella having grown so much as a player since joining Getafe; something that Alena thinks might resurrect his career too.
Carles Aleñá has already landed in Madrid to complete his loan move to Getafe for the rest of the season. #FCB 🤝🔵 pic.twitter.com/BLtFX9L8Op
